Viking River Cruise, Bamberg Germany

On day 9, we enjoyed another highlight of our Viking "Cities of Light" river cruise-- a walking tour of Bamberg. Founded in 902, the city's winding streets are filled with baroque patrician houses and charming views on the Regnitz river that flows through town. The medieval city center, an UNESCO Work Heritage site, boasts an 11th century cathedral. The picturesque Rathaus, the Town Hall, was built in the middle of a double-arched bridge over the Regnitz river.
